Owners

We both are up on farms outside Banks, Oregon, a small rural community in Western Washington County. We met in high school and soon after graduation fell in love and got married. We were determined to return to our rural roots and bought our 5-acre property in North Plains in 2001, where we raised our 3 children and eventually planted our vineyard in 2014. Our vineyard is rooted in our values of family and land stewardship. We are so excited to share our home and wines with you.

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be a part of the ShuVin team. I’m Doug and Melissa’s oldest daughter and have been helping out over the years but officially joined the team in 2024. I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2018 with a Marketing and Finance degree. After 5 years in the corporate world, I left in July 2023 after having my first baby, Carter, to stay home with him (and our Mini Goldendoodle Marvin). Outside of work, I love traveling, going to breweries with friends, watching sports, skiing, reading, and am attempting to make my own sourdough bread.

I’m so proud of what my parents have created here so far. I truly believe in our product. I might be a little biased, but I really think we make some of the best wine and I can’t wait to see where the journey will take us!
